To raise money, the fishermen salted summer mackerel and came to sell it in the villages along the Yoshino River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:54px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Coinciding with summer festivals and celebrations, this dish became a special treat for events like the lunar calendar&#8217;s 5th month festival (June 5th).
