About 10 minutes from Mitarai Waterfalls, there is a legendary spot known as Hikari Waterfall or the Waterfall of Light. According to the legend, during the Southern Dynasty, Imperial Prince Moriyoshi stood in front of this waterfall, and light shone from the falls towards him. The path to the waterfall has some ups and downs. Enjoy the scenic views along the way as you proceed. Look for the stone monument marked "光の滝" (Hikari-no-taki) as a guide.
