Tenkawa Tenwa-no Sato
The former Tenkawa Nishi Elementary School, which closed in 2002, was originally built in 1942 using Japanese cypress. It still retains its original appearance. Along the river, there is a multi-purpose facility for parking that also serves as a barbecue area, bouldering space, and a place for various activities such as catching amago (cherry salmon) and woodworking experiences. It's a community hub where both children and adults can enjoy various activities. Feel free to inquire about touring the school building or arranging photography sessions. Reservations are recommended for experiences.
