This waterfall, observed on the most advanced course during the ascent of Mount Misen and Hakkyo-gatake, is one of Japan's Top 100 waterfalls. Climbing involves using iron ladders and chains for support. Along the way, you'll encounter the first and second waterfalls, then, the main waterfall with a 70-meter drop that can only be seen from a location called "Somon Terrace." Due to the difficulty of the climb and the fact that the main waterfall is visible only from the Somon Terrace, it is often referred to as the "phantom waterfall."
